For Crosshairs Radio episode 21 it's another edition of the basement tapes with Taylor, Kevin and Elliott from a remote, disclosed location. The 2016 Cyclocross World Championships take place this coming weekend and we offer our thoughts and picks for the five races on tap.

Joining us for the discussion is Tim Johnson, a guy who actually raced a World Championship at Zolder (both on the road and in cyclocross). Tim brings some great insight to the conversation about the course and top riders who will be competing for the rainbow stripes.

Later in the episode, recurring guest to Crosshairs Radio, Dan Chabanov, joins us to give his picks and thoughts.

We finish up the 90 minute episode with some music recommendations before sending you on your way.

We love to hear from you. Shoot us an email at feedback@cxhairs.com.

Thanks for tuning in.

Ben Frederick (beyondCX), who we first talked to in episode 9, returns to the basement for a post-season recap. We talk about the ups and downs of his season following our last conversation, the build up to U.S. Cyclocross Nationals, his time in Asheville, and what happens next.

And speaking of what happens next, just remember people, even if he leaves Virginia .. Ben is from the Mid-Atlantic.

Love talking with Ben and look forward to seeing what next season brings.

Thanks for listening.

It's a bittersweet episode as we welcome Scott Dedenbach and Mr. David Palan from Cyclcross Today onto Crosshairs Radio for a rundown of the U.S. Cyclocross National Championship week.

For the past year I have joined Scott and David for a weekly show on the Cyclocross Network covering U.S. and European 'cross racing that we called They Don't Do That In Europe. Sadly, that show, and Cyclocross Today, recorded its final episode a few days ago. That final episode is a companion piece to this Crosshairs Radio episode and only lasts 13 minutes. I would ask that you go listen to it first and then make your way back here for our discussion. You can find Cyclocross Today Show 49 - Final Show here: https://t.co/Zjsl5b6ybN.

Going forward Scott and David will join Crosshairs Radio for TDDTIE episodes similar to what we have done in the past. So although Cyclocross Today may be done, we will continue on because, you know, we are all part of the cyclocross network.

On this episode we give a rundown of the U23 and Pro races at nationals and share our thoughts on the venue and course.

Thanks for listening.

For episode 18 of Crosshairs Radio we welcome Richard Sachs to the show. Richard is best known as a bicycle frame builder who has built a reputation as one of the most meticulous, detail-oriented and skilled frame builders working today.

Richard is immersed in cyclocross both as a racer and team owner. Our conversation concentrates on this side of Richard more than the frame building side. We have a great conversation about how he first discovered bikes, how he entered the business and how he ended up running a team.

Along with Richard, Dan Chabanov joins us once again. This time as a co-host. The three of us have a great conversation in Dan's hotel room during a rainy Saturday night before the final day of racing at the 2016 U.S. Cyclocross National Championships in Asheville, N.C.

You can learn more about Richard Sachs at www.richardsachs.com and www.richardsachscyclocross.com. He is on Twitter at @rscycles. Dan Chabanov is on Twitter and Instagram at @danchabanov.

Thanks for listening.

Elliott, Kevin, Taylor and Bill gather in the cxhairs basement studio for a round-table discussion about recent European cyclocross races and the upcoming U.S. Cyclocross Nationals in Asheville, N.C.

Midway through the show we are stumped by an omission on one of the cyclocross nationals registered rider list and call in Cyclocross Network's Scott Dedenbach to help set the record straight. Scott then sticks around to help us pick the podiums in most of the elite races.

Thanks for tuning in.
